This is a must listen to interview, whether you are working in the music industry or not there are some inspiring words, and indeed heartfelt words of wisdom and inspiration as we head into a very cold February.

If you are wondering what the hell you are doing right now and need a bit of guidance then Danny Ramplings interview with Ben Brophy could be just what you need to hear to kick-start your 2012. It certainly has done that for me. I grew up listening to Danny Rampling on Radio 1's Love Groove Dance Party show on a Saturday night. It's good to hear some of his plans for 2012. I won't spoil them though. He talks on a number of topics including music projects, Alfredo's book, a special party this summer and more! Have a listen.

Will the forthcoming DJ mix app for Ipad simply called mixr signal the end for turntable based hardware like Serato?

Are we witnessing yet another technological revolution in the DJ industry (possibly the biggest since mp3 and cd replaced vinyl in lots of venues) or is this just another flash in the pan doomed to ultimate failure?

mixr is due to be released for Ipad later this year so we'll know more then.

Hope you are all well and enjoying the slow build up to the Summer. Why not take a break and listen to (or download) my latest mix?

I decided to do a chill out mix this time as it's coming up to holiday time :)

I wanted to show you that I'm not just about DJing electro. I love all types of music and I think that Vainzine reflects that so I picked some of my favourite tracks that fit the genre and voila.

The mix is a little bit crackly as I'm having some issues with serato but I'm working to get that sorted out and it's still listenable. The crackles actually make it sound like it was recorded on an old phonograph.
