CLICK HERE to view the listing.

So far there have been 38 bids and the current winning bid stands at USD $999,999.00

The item listing descritipon is as follows:

'If you win this auction I will mail you a piece of paper revealing the true identity of "Banksy".

I have uncovered his identity by matching up the prices of his sold pieces to corresponding tax records. I will reveal no more details.

The winner of this auction is the only person I will ever share this information with. The piece of paper will say his name, nothing more.

I give you 100% assurance that it is most certainly the full name of the street artist known as "Banksy".

Ebay previously ended this auction because I was selling something that was not "tangible".
It is now tangible.

VIDEO: Possibly the First Hip Hop Movie 1981 - Downtown 81

Check this clip from the 1981 Film 'Downtown 81' that starred Jean-Michel Basquiat. This is apparently the first time Hip-hop was featured in a movie (unconfirmed) and features a track by Melle Mel from Grandmaster Flash & The Furios 5 although there is some debate as to whether that is actually him you see in the club performing the rap. DJ Sinbad is DJing (unconfirmed). Basquait himself can be seen getting down to the track in the club and is named checked by the Rappper.

Debbie Harry also appears in the movie and you can see the clip featuring her below too although she does not have a singing part. Interestingly the original audio for the movie was destroyed and the sound you hear in the clips is the over dub which was re-recorded for the re-issue of the film. However Basquiat unfortunately died in 1998 so his voice part was played by Saul Williams (unconfirmed).

VIDEO: Andy Warhol paints Debbie Harry on an Amiga in 1985!

Check out this video featuring Andy Warhol and a stunning Debby Harry doing a presentation for Commodore Amiga. He 'paints' her after taking a digital image of her and then uses a paint program to edit it. This is pretty impressive given that is happened way back in 1985! I wonder if we will see any celeb / artist colabs with new technology today - like using the new Microsoft Kinect? Nah!

ART: McDonalds Anti-Decompose 'The Happy Meal Project' by Sally Davies

New York artist Sally Davies 'The Happy Meal Project' may well be one of the scariest works of art of the decade. Although McDonald's spokeswoman Danya Proud said; "This is nothing more than an outlandish claim and is completely false", the fact remains that Davies claims that she bought the Happy Meal (Pictured above after 171 days) on April 10 2010 and after photographing every day since for the past 6 months it has clearly shown little sign of decomposition and no signs of mould, not even on the bread bun.

Given that I left some potatoes and carrots on my kitchen table, went on holiday for two weeks and came back to a pile of penicillin encrusted goop this summer, should we be scared? It was the US McDonalds so if you are in the UK or Europe who knows? An interested work of art though - maybe McDonalds should look into selling their 'preservatives' to the art world.

Ha ha Will Smith's 9 year old kid Willow is making R&B at a higher standard than most of the rest of R&B 'community'. Check out the high energy video and watch Willow go all Jackson Pollock whipping her hair around covered in paint onto the canvas walls. Great idea. Watch your back Rhianna your days are numbered. You got played by a kid! Maybe Willow should team up with Tatyna Ali for her next single, not.

ART: ALT/1977 'We Are Not Time Travelers' by Alex Varanese

What would you do if you could travel back in time? Alex Varanese explores the idea of time travel by imagining what today's technology must have products would have looked like and how they would have been marketed if they had existed in 1977. Love the name of his mp3 player (pictured left) 'Pocket Hi-Fi' and a portable computer system called 'Microcade 3000'. Check out more of his amazing work Here.

One of the funniest (or most tragic depending on who you support) moments of the World Cup so far has to be this howler from England goalkeeper Robert Green which has been lovingly recreated in Lego.

ART: Berlin Public Art Project

Remember the advert for the BMW Z5 last year when they got a race driver to drive the car over a huge canvas Jackson Pollock-esque? The artrists below dumped a load of paint from their Bicycles in this road crossing in Berlin. The effect is an organic spread of colour through the square by the cars, bikes and trams.

Musical Inspirations: Arabella Proffer and The Church's 'Priest = Aura'

Originally posted 17 Sept 2007:

If you have had the misfortune not to have heard of Arabella Proffer, or feast your rather privileged eyes on her work then your suffering has finally finished and you can breathe a huge sigh of relief.
The Fourth in the Musical Inspirations series sees Arabella enlighten us on the inspirations behind the two paintings featured as well as her wider aims and ambitions in her art projects.
"The portrait series I've been working on as of late brings together my interests in fashion, decadence, rich paintings, and older cultures. Of course I like to make them my own, and always wondered what it would be like if goths and punks left proper portraits as part of some legacy. Most counter-culture fashions and movements are so widely accepted now, I thought about what it would be like if aristocrats and royalty adopted the fashion as well."
Arabella told Vainzine the music that inspired her to create the two Portraits featured.

"
In the beginning stages I always like to listen to something eerie or dark; for years and years I have had The Church 'Priest=Aura on loop for everything, as it has been aptly described as grand, goth and atmospheric. I found it very appropriate when tackling these two portraits at first."
The course of true love, or in this case great art does not run smooth as Arabella professed experiencing during the Creation of the two pieces.

"But then, I had to change gears halfway through. I wasn't used to doing larger portraits and it was tak
ing a toll on me physically and just draining me all around. So what better way to get through it and stay awake than with some glam riffs? Particularly the Velvet Tinmine (Pictured left) compilation. I also found it appropriate that while working on the tartan clothing, a band on the CD called Tartan Horde, does a funny little song called "Bay City Rollers We Love You". So, while I may have started out with The Church, I ended up with songs by Iron Virgin and Ricky Wilde. A strange turn, but hey, it got the job done didn't it?"
So It is with great admiration and thanks that we bid a fond farewell, but not goodbye to Arabella who will be exhibiting in October for those of you lucky enough to live in the States. For more details visit her website, it will surely be an event not to be missed.
