STILL FRESH: DENIAL 'California Dreaming' cover version

Thanks to @puroinstinct for posting this today. Haven't been able to find out much except that is is by a group called Denial and is a cover of the Mamas and Papas original. The cover was released in 1982 on MSQUARED RECORDS. Time for a re-release?

VIDEO: Lana Mir 'I Wanna Be Adored' live at Cold Water Canyon

Lana Mir's superb acoustic version of the Stone Roses classic first appeared on Vainzine back in January, way before they announced reformation so no claims of bandwagon jumping please - Lana had already made one of the best covers of 2011.

So, just released on youtube is a new live version of the cover, that is essentially the same thing with a few tweaks due to it being performed live, outside and not under studio conditions. Great video, great song check it out below.

VIDEO: My Head Radio + DNA + Suzanne Vega 'Tom's Diner'

I was sent this promo CD,

of the My Head Radio album,

and I didn't really like it 'cause it wasn't really my thing,

but then I heard something that reminded me of something from my childhood,

and that something was Toms Diner by the artist Suzanne Vega,

which they had tried to cover so I did a little research and found it was from '86 but it was an accapella,

and even so it had a video,

and it was played on MTV,

but then in 1990 it was remade by DNA,

and this is what I remebered and I think it's truly awesome,

so I'm posting all three for you,

so that you can make your mind up and tell me what you think.

This lovely cover of the Stone Roses classic 'I Wanna Be Adored' is featured on the beautiful Lana Mir's self-titled debut album which is out now on Unfiltered records. The album also features another great single 'Summertime' The video to which is also below and was shot in Central Park, New York.
