FEATURE: Fave Five Albums Of 2011: Isaac Ashe from Sound Advice

Isaac is a Multimedia Journalist and blogger for the Loughborough Echo. Check out his Music blog Sound Advice and if you are into a bit of football check his blog Goaltastic. Here are Isaac's thoughts on his Top 5 albums of 2011.

40 WINKS - IT’S THE TRIP

Subtle, sample-saturated electronica and turntablism of the highest order - it’s a trip worth taking.

LITTLE ROY - BATTLE FOR SEATTLE

Reggae revisions of Nirvana classics that I defy anyone not to smile at each and every time they listen.

PHAELAH - THE COLD IN YOU

Orchestral dubstep which, unlike most po-faced exponents of the genre, ultimately leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy.

RIVAL SCHOOLS - PEDALS

AWOL for far too long, rockers Rival School’s returned with a tweaked sound but no compromises in quality.

TOM VEK - LEISURE SEIZURE

Half a decade since his debut album, Tom Vek’s brilliance hasn’t diminished. For me the finest pop album made this year - if only it were more popular!
