STREAM: ITSAFEELING by Tropics

As we have been on the move for the last couple of weeks there has been little time to get anything done review wise. Fear not we'll have something new for you later on this week. In the meantime here are a few of the latest in the Oki-ni mix series to keep you going.

First up is one-man-band Chris Ward, known to most as Tropics, is the complete all-rounder. Coming from a musical family, Chris is now a producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist who blends the jazz sounds of a Rhodes keyboard with vintage synths, guitars, and a whole host of modern software and production wizardry to create a unique sound with an aptly tropical feel.

For his mix, Chris looked to the music that has excited him recently and the tracklist reads like a who’s who of talent in contemporary electronic music, as Chris explains:

‘The mix is just a blend of chilled out club-friendly tracks I’ve been loving recently, whilst DJing and playing live shows abroad. They're tracks by friends and artists who I'm a fan of.’

Tropics debut album, Parodia Flare, is out now on Planet Mu.
