GIG REVIEW: Future of the Left @ Lexington, London 27 April 2011

FINALLY!! After waxing lyrically about pretty much every one of their releases and being disappointed by the cancellation of the previous tour I finally got to see Future of the Left LIVE and in person at one of Vainzine’s most frequented venues the Lexington in London.

FOTL rocked big time playing a mixture of newer and older tracks from albums Curses (2007) and Travels with Myself and another(2009) as well as some well received Mclusky covers. Combined with some incredibly witty banter the gig set up one stormer of an evening. I would not hesitate in recommending any fans of the heavier side of alt rock make sure to capture this gem of a show at a venue near you ASAP. Nuff said just GO!!!!!!

6/5 – It’s possible I assure you!

As the main man stated, the McLusky songs were NOT covers!!! Not covers when the band consists of two of the 3 founding members, one of whom wrote the fucking songs!!!
