After the last Fabric Live review of Wally Lopez’s effort I was sincerely hoping not to be proffered up another two hours of mind numbing repetitive generic dance nonsense. Thankfully this time I was however quite delighted, if that is the right word, to have listened to some wonderfully dark tech house/techno/electro/break beaty tune-age to bust a very late night messy move too.
Excellent offerings of tracks from the Pearson Sound / Ramadanman AKA David Kennedy, a superb Carl Craig re-edit, Joy Orbison and MJ Cole to name a few provide an awesome contribution to this incredibly well mixed album. For those who like things dark, twisted with a little bit of uncouth funk thrown in you could do a lot worse than adding this little gem to your collection.
5/5
