Tax relief for UK Games Industry scrapped by new UK Government

The chancellor George Osborne today announced in the LibCon emergency budget that planned tax relief and incentives for the UK video game industry will be scrapped. What does this mean for the industry as a whole?

It's too early to do anything but speculate but it will be interesting to see what companies like Activison, Ubisoft and Rockstar who all have studios in the UK make of this and how they and other video game companies react. Let's hope we don't see an exodus of talent from the UK due to today's announcement.
