Once in a while a musical genius comes along and blows you away. Jon Hopkins is that genius. I haven't felt this way about an electronic album since, you've guessed it, Digitonal's 'Save Your Light For Darker Days, released last year.
Hopkins has a talent beyond words and his music deserves to be heard by a wider audience than has (probably) already been subjected to it's greatness.
There's a ethereal quality to his songs that are in the main instrumental. Check 'The Wider Sun' and 'Light Through The Veins' to hear him in his full glory.
